I can hook my PC up to my TV via my xbox one S using one guide and a HDMI cable. Mainly so I can play PC releases on the big screen.

I was trying to see if it could be done wirelessley straight to my TV but when I click " cast " and click my TV in the settings, it just says " couldn't connect "

any ideas ? on me TV it does say " function supported by windows 10 " which may have something to do with it, as im using 11

This is possibly mirror cast, which requires firewall ports to be enabled on the PC. However, playing a game "cast". Nope. Nothing that is fast action or needs quick response times. It will be laggy as hell

Can't test it right now
But rather than cast think I added my TV
As a wireless monitor
Cast I use for one way sending videos or photos to TV in another room
Whereas wifi monitor allows control on the tv too thats in pc room
My pc and TV are both connected by WiFi
To the router
I have both windows 10 and 11 on same pc
Both work fine
As django x2 said though you may get some lag
I wasn't playing anything needing lightning fast responses
So can't comment on how much lag there was

Cool thanks guys :) I was pressing the windows key + K and using the " WiFi Cast Menu "
I will just stick to using the trusty HDMI cable instead then. Not impractical etc as my TV is about 2m from my PC
