When's best to order the x1900XT from OcUK? Should I order it now and it will be processed tomorrow or should I just order it tomorrow morning?

Whenever, would have been best to order it before 3 as you would have got it tomorrow!

If you order now or before 3 tomorrow it'll have no effect on when it arrives, so i guess monday or tuesday if you order tomorrow.

Either... not like you'd get it within the hour. :p

Just to back-up the decision of getting an X1900XT even more, if you do decide to upgrade to a bigger monitor, the X1900XT at stock speeds runs Counter-Strike Source very smoothly at 1680x1050. :)

You can order now and if you choose RMSD 90% of them are delivered next day if it is a Saturday.

Michael

Edit: I guess OcUK don't do RMSD for Saturday. But there is CityLink £18 for a Saturday delivery.

Royal Mail F.T.W. > City Link F.T.L.

Just had to get that off my chest, sorry. :p

What does the above mean?

Strange! If you want a Sapphire you can have RMSD but not the HIS one.

Michael

Well my experience with City Link are less than impressive, delivered to the wrong house twice in 3 days! Never had a problem with RM.

My problems with City Link include, and are not limited to; Going to the wrong house multiple times, pushing a "missed you" note through the door without knocking multiple times, bashed up boxes and/or damaged goods, delivery bloke spitting on my path, you name it.

I really wish that OcUK would use Royal Mail more. :(

Just saw that ATI are releasing a 256MB version of the X1900 XT scheduled release date is 14 Sept, ATI are suggesting a price of $280 which is around £150 so it will be interesting to see the prices when they hit UK shelves.
Keep in mind we never see anything at $/£ conversion, we get ripped off in this country a fair bit. I am still looking forward to these cards though, at the right price-point they will fill the void that the X1800XT and X1900GT will very shortly be leaving and keep ATI king of the £150 price point.

No Crossfire on the Radeon X1900 XT 256MB though, (from the firingsquad preview) ....

"We’ve been lobbying ATI to open up connectorless CrossFire for a range of cards, and we’ve been told that they’re seriously considering doing it, so we’re hopeful that they’ll consider adding that at some point in the future, but we can’t provide an ETA on when that will take place"
.

Dual screen makes up for nothing.

my X1900XT @ over Xt-X won't do dual screen gaming, its just won't :p

MS FS 2004 can use dual screens but it doesn't work very well (sub 10FPS)

Single X1800XT will do you, bit more future proofing (if there is such a thing) get the X1900XT.

CR.
