Can't clear bluetooth cache s22 plus

I have a s22 plus that has issues connecting to my cars bluetooth. It's an intermittent problem. I understand clearing the bluetooth cache could help. I have tried clearing the cache but clear cache is greyed out in the app. So I have done a recovery mode cache wipe and that did not help.

Have you tried forgetting the device on both sides, then re-pairing and see if that helps?

Have you also tested the car's bluetooth with other phones?
