Can't clear C and D drives whilst reinstalling windows

Hi

I just reinstalled windows to try and clear my hard drives to as new, however when I look at my C and D drives all the files are still there even though windows has gone through the whole installation process.

I have everything backed up on an external drive so how can I clear C and D drives to as new please?

Delete the partitions during the installation wizard.

Choose Custom Install, then click Advanced on the drive selection screen.

Or if you wanted to blitz them before using the Windows disc, you could do this..

Download Parted Magic http://partedmagic.com/ , burn the ISO to cd using IMGBurn, boot from that.

Once it gets to the Linux desktop, open the partition manager. the rest is on screen..
