Hey guys,
Ive no need for a wireless connection at home, so have never used one...I have a tiscali ASDL line and it works just fine. Up until a couple of months ago I could connect to any wireless network without a hassle anywhere I was. I rebooted my entire laptop to update to Media centre a couple of months back, I installed all the driversI could possibly find on the dell website (as I lost the discs...Its an inspiron 6400) Then over the past week I have been out and about and have tried various wireless networks, but none will let me on. I can see all the connections, those that are password encrypted, and those that arent. the ones that arent I can connect to, and it tells me im connected to. But then when it comes to try get on the internet it just wont load anything. Upon looking at the status of the connection, I can see that packets are being sent and recieved, but nowhere near as many as I should be getting...were talking maybe like 500 to 200....
So guys, what on Earth do I do, as this means I cant access the wireless connection in the uni library here too making life extremely difficult.
Any ideas are more than welcome...
thanks
