Can't connect to i-tunes

Bit of a story:

My problems started last night when I went to update my touch 1g software and it basically bricked my phone.
Sorted that this morning by restoring using my dad's laptop, updated everything and what not.

But now my itunes doesnt reconise my ipod touch. My Computer is coming saying that its a camera, which iam guessing i need to change a setting somewhere.
The one time itunes remotely picked up on my touch was to say please plug into a 32bit version.


Iam currently running XP 64bit, and as poeple may know you have to edit some stuff to make itunes run.

been posting on the apple forum so these are more posts i put with my originial:

1:
still cant get it working
re-installed it all again, making sure this time to delete everything apple/itunes related.

still comes up saying its a camera device, apart from the list to chose how i want to view it is empty.

gah!

cant see an edit button:

but when just uninstalled everything again and when plugging in my touch it still shows up as an apple ipod.

guessing its windows drivers?

ive noticed that each time ive uninstalled itunes it still remembers my itunes account, and i make sure iam deleting everything apple related off, so don't know what Iam missing :confused
