Ethernet: onboard ASUS P5K Attansic L1 Gigabit ethernet adapter
Everything was fine and dandy, til windows update decided i needed a software update for my ethernet adapter. I installed it, and bam, my internet dies.
I get 'limited or no connectivity' icon in the corner and round the back of the PC, the LED's are orange and yellow (this flickers).
Reboots don't work, it's all enabled in BIOS, i've tried reinstalling the driver i thought worked, but i think it's being overwritten by the newer driver every time. Surely they wouldn't release a driver that just doesn't work?!?
Anyone had any problems with this also? Or any solution to this? Tried ipconfig /release and /renew and it freezes on renew (acquiring network address) then pops up with the limited connectivity message.
EDIT: problem solved. this POS driver couldn't auto detect my mask/gateway/ip address. after manually entering them in, it works!
