Can't connect to network on OSX

Iam trying to connect to a mates sky network on my mac and I can see loads of other networks but can't connect to this one I can't even see it in available networks.

I can connect to mum, dads and loads of other mates networks but not this one. Tried manually connecting and that doesn't work either, anyone know why?

Has he not just hidden his SSID?

Nope, can clearly see the SSID on my iPhone :s

By "tried connecting manually" do you mean you entered the SSID in manually? Can you reboot the router to see if that helps? You might also try assigning yourself a manual IP as well.

I've had tons of problems with Macs and wifi. The only Mac I've owned that didn't give me any trouble in that regard was the iBook.

Yeah tried rebooting the router a few times. Yeah entered the SSID in manually. I didnt want to start playing around with assigning IP's tbh.

Is the network restricted by MAC address?
