hi all

i can't access my router on 192.168.1.1 - get a "connection was reset" error

Internet works fine

network to other PC is fine

i double checked the default gateway address in ipconfig

windows troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem

any suggestions as i'm probably missing something obvious here (i don't want to have to reset to factory defaults unless i really have to)

thanks

Are you connecting to it via wireless or cable?

If wireless make sure you're not on the guest network,

hi

i am trying to access from a wired PC - i had no luck on 2 other PCs and tried various browsers

i do have guest networks set up though

I have a feeling its something to do with how the cables are plugged into the router, will try a few things tomorrow and report back

Connect a single PC to it, no switches, nothing else

thanks - i tried that but still no luck

if i used the setup utility i got the error message "Two or more wired connections are detected...." - even though there was only one

so in the end i just had to do a reset and all is now working fine again

thanks all
