Cant connect to the internet

Hi all.

My computer will no longer connect to the internet.I have made a thread elsewhere http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17994341 . I have run all my AV scans and stuff and think its clean now but it wont connect still.
Could something have altered my settings.I have a static IP address and have for over a year.
I was told to check my DNS settings ive checked in my TCP/IP and it is showing no primary or alternate DNS server.Could this be the problem.Any help is appreciated.

If you have set yourself a static IP address, and your saying you have no primary DNS, why not add a primary DNS (your routers IP), make sure to set the default gateway to the routers IP as well.

Which version of the internet are you trying to connect to? Have you patched to v1.1?
