Bit of an odd one - I've ripped my entire cd collection to my home server and have a virtual directory under IIS named Audio that links to them. It's all secured appropriately with NTFS permissions and non-anonymous access so there's no problem with anyone getting to them.
I ripped all my cd's to flac format, but when I access the site from a browser (IE/FF) I can't download the flac files but any other files (including mp3) are okay. When I click on a file I get a 404 error, and if I right-click and try to Save As.. it says IE cannot access the source.
Weirdly, any other files I put in the same directories can be downloaded no problem.. it's just flac files
Obviously this isn't a problem from home, I just directly access them but if I want to listen to some stuff at work I have to RDP into the server and Zip up the files first, then d/l them..
Any ideas?
