I got a vega 56 after a 780ti and have a 3570k at 4.4ghz and i kinda regret it when the 780ti was decent enough tbh i mainly wanted more vram for x4 and some other games like gta 5. Gta 5, the cpu is a bottleneck tho that was raising settings tho it should be capable of max. The gpu probs is capable but the cpu isnt so had to drop settings back to 780ti settings as cores were maxing too much plus textures vanished and hitching at full speed in fast cars in the city centre. (780ti didnt do that).
Some games tho for example i just got sw bf2 for 3.75 at origin and ran that at ultra and it flys on arcade and looks great on both dx 11 and 12 tho if u use 12 it keeps coming up shader recompiling etc.
Windows isnt great either i get fps lag with mouse just dragging it over the windows desktop wallpaper i see a blackish shadow delay when moving mouse that way, videos dont seem smooth on say utube like say tearing on fastish motion with a lot of detail like if it were a game id say vsync or freesync aint working or something. Dunno what causes this but didnt have it on 780ti and cpu the same so. ????
Anyhow thats me with the same cpu and mb with a modern card. Some suggested getting a 3770k and oc it to make pc last longer and help in bottlenecks but tbh i doubt it, sure more cores might split the load so isnt near 100% but its still 5+ years old and theres not that many games still that are amazing with multicore cpus still, it helps but its not perfect, only few games would be.
But i bought it, have to live with it, its nice when it works but.. I do wonder if i would have this trouble if i kept to nvidia tho, had issues back in mid 2000s with agp amd cards (3xxx) card the last they made which cost a bit still was meh, went and upgraded with nvidia and much much nicer experience and since.
I mean ok i didnt play it long but i tried witcher 3 at near max and fps was amazing smooth but i was in a village and just riding horse around a little then stopped but was nice, i should really play that more as is a nice game. I hear tho if ur in a city (never found one yet) the fps do tank if u have a weaker cpu in them areas. I hear also forget playing the new assasin creed in city areas, as cpu will get tanked a lot and performance suffers. Turning options down might help i dunno. I dont have that one but there is a video showing the peformance drop on our cpu.
Anyhow, if u want a new gpu and dont wana change cpu soon then id not buy anything better than a vega 56 as ur cpu wont like it unless u play less cpu intense games. Tho i will say when i tried div 2 for a little bit for the start during the little skimish the fps was pretty smooth even at 4k using the dsr thing but amds version on med/high settings, even better fps if u dropped to 1440p for example.
If i were u id say save up for a new mb ram and cpu and a medium range gpu or if u stick to cpu then id suggest maybe going up to 16gb as its getting standard these days to have. Maybe a 1660ti/1060 or amd 580 or 590 perhaps as im guessing they probably better to not bottleneck the cpu but still give decent fps at 1080p.
Btw ur sig doesnt say about ur psu, as that would be important if u get a new card that could be hungry for power i mean i have a corsair hx 620w psu thats about 10yrs old but manages a vega 56 and managed the 780ti which is more power hungry according to stats. If say u had a 500w u u might not be ok with a 5700 card u seem to want. But like i said it depends on ur psu which cards u can get.
