recently some money came my way (thank you trusty premium bonds) so ive got a budget of well, i guess up to a £100 inc delivery/tax though i guess really i dont want to spend all of it so £70-80 case would be great.

currently the main cases im looking at :

antec p180 mini:

antec 300:

lian li pc7:

anything else worth looking at ? (my current mobo is a matx and so the p180 appeals to me, it looks great inside and out, plenty of space, great cable management and i could go on...

though with the antec 300 i could buy some extra silent fans and a nice new dvd drive and even a fan controller, and with money to spare to get some paint if i want to try to do the internals black.

so can anyone point me in the right direction?

right now the p180 mini is top of my list just have a butchers at this:

EDIT: found mini p180 for £80 so im sold. sorry ocuk i belive ive cheated on you. i feel guilty now. anywho this i can pick up at store without having some city link joe putting it in my bin.

If your budget is around £60 the Nzxt tempest I'd suggest looking at it looks like it's definitely the new best budget case wasn't even aware of it until recently it's like an antec 1050 bigger than the 900 but smaller than the 1200 but very similar ?

watched a video *cheers edgey*

and now im thinking of getting the 300. because my i think my ram is going so ill fork a bit out for that, then some fans (any favs guys? im thinking sharkoon), possibly a fan controller and finally a antec 300 case.

my current case, the flashy effect has warn off and now i only see it as un finished, noisy and poor build quality (cracks have appeared).
a little question to 300 owners, is the hd cage by any means removeable. because at the moment i only have one hard drive and could always mount in the 5 1/2 inch drive bay. or is it not worth bothering about.

hey m8y.

i s'pose you could if you wanted to but it would involve removing rivets etc, and would leave you few places to hide cables unless you plan to cut some holes and route behind the mobo tray.

good luck with whatever you choose.

forget all the above. im going with the antec 300. just ordered some team elite ram.

ill post some pics up as soon as i get around to rebuilding.

i dont think ill mod it as ive never really done major mods before. but was thinking of adding some akasa paxmate or somekind of finish simply for the looks all around the case (obviously not hd cage).

fan wise , which do you think i should get, currently only got 1 120mm and two 80mm akasa amber but they are neither that good or correct size so im going to forget about them.

well ive got 2 of these in the front atm and dont recommend them.

people say the yate loons are good? might be worth a try.

and i was actualy thinking the same thing with the paxmate :) but dont have the money tbh so that will also have to wait!

wow really? i was seriously considering them.

i may go for these as i need fans that are quiet:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...harkoon Silent Eagle 2000 120mm Fan - 3/4 Pin

not sure, as the slower one is out of stock. i think the white blades would look quite good. if not those then i guess yate loon or the artic cooling ones.

EDIT: ok yate loons seem the best according to reviews. i guess ill go for them, cheap too, good......
