Firstly, I bought for OCuk before and I'd just like to say fantastic service guys keep it up :)

As you can see in my sig. my current pc needs an update. Recently, some £'s came my way and I've decide to upgrade. My problem is I can't decide upon which case to get, the budget is around the Corsair 800D mark. Oh yeah, feel free to make recommendations on the basket below. Cheers :)

My build will go something like this:

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £509.99

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor with FREE Lost Planet 2 PC Game - Retail £279.98

Asus P8P67 DELUXE Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) £191.99

Corsair Professional Series™ Gold AX850 High Performance 850W Power Supply (CMPSU-850AXUK) £155.99

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8) £119.99

Pioneer BDR-205 12x BluRay RW / 16x DVD±RW Drive - Black (OEM) £99.98

Corsair Hydro H70 High-Performance CPU WaterCooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3) £81.70

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500418AS)

Hi Louis
What do you use your PC for? As this can effect the recomendatio re the rest of the spec, only thing I'd say now is if you want to keep SLi option open you should be looking at a 1000W PSU
I'd look at the Coolermaster HAF X for the case, great case with good airflow and nice and large to work in

I use my PC mainly for gaming and watching movies etc. I'd like to max out games like crysis, metro etc, hence the spec. Thanks for the other posts guys, appreciate the input.

In that case save yourself some money and ditch the 2600k and just get the 2500k as the hyper threading in the 2600 offers no benefits for gaming

As skyline says, the h70 is vastly overpriced really, Id just stick with something like the Titan Fenrir Evo, anything above this is diminishing returns

Whilst the 580 is a great card, imo its not worth the premium over a 570

Do you need the additional features the Deluxe board offers over the Pro or even Vanilla? If not you can cut that back too

And do you need the ability to write Blu Rays? Or do you just need a Blu Ray player and DVD writer? cos you could halve the amount spent on this too

Just cos something costs most doesnt automatically mean its best for your needs

Edit: That would allow you to get a larger SSD too, so build could look something like this, for example

MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £269.99
Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1) £209.99
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor with FREE Lost Planet 2 PC Game - Retail £194.99
Corsair HX 1000W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-1000HXUK) £188.93
Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) £139.98
Coolermaster HAF X Gaming Tower Case - Black (RC-942) £131.99
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) £99.98
Pioneer BDR-205 12x BluRay RW / 16x DVD±RW Drive - Black (OEM) £99.98
Asus Xonar D2X PCI-E Sound Card £88.99
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) £40.99
Titan Fenrir Evo CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA1366/AMD K8/AM2/AM2+/AM3) £36.76

True and yes I will write blu-ray disks. I'll need to readdress the list I created based upon what you've said. Thanks for an amended list of alternatives.

In addition to a new PC, I'll need to get some new speakers. Are the Logitech Z-5500 all there cracked up to be? or are there better, more cost effective alternatives?
