Hi guys, im wanting to get a conroe e6600 and probably some of the geil 6400 ram, but i don't know what motherboard would the best for these 2. I won't be overclocking or anything so bare that in mind.

Thanks for any replies.

Are you sure you won't be overclocking? If not then the ASRock ConroeXFire eSATA II is a cracking value motherboard with all the features of much more expensive boards and it's a great performer too.

You'd need to give a budget for more people to answer, I'd say if your spending under £60, buy the board the guy above says. If your spending between £100-£150, I'd buy the Asus P5W deluxe, or if your looking to not upgrade for a long time buy the EVGA 680i as it supports quad core/1200mhz ram.

Thinking about it, does the e-sata2 even support 6400 ram?

the e-sata2 only supports 6400 ram if downclock it to 667, otherwise no, I use to have a e-sata2, good board, but hat to rma it due to motherboard being faulty.
