So I have around £480 to spend on a new mobo/cpu/ram/gfx card/hdd and i was thinking of this :

Intel i5
XTX ATi 4890
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
Geil Ultra Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-17000 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (GU34GB2133C9DC) - OEM
Undecided on the hdd

But I also still have a qx6700 + 4gb Corsair DDR2 6400 ram that i'm not using, so maybe i should keep this cpu and ram and just buy a new mobo, hdd and a better graphics card, like the 5850 and even buy a second card later on if that's possible ?

This pc will only be used to play WoW and a few other games like CoD on a 30"/2560x1600 res

What do you guys think?

If you already have a QX6700 and 4GB DDR2 - then I suggest using that. It isn't as fast as an i5, but overall it will so much cheaper. Plus, at that crazy resolution you need all the money you can get to pour into a graphics card :).

With that in mind, I'd suggest this motherboard and this cooler (if you don't already have a good one) for some overclocking (aim for at least 3.5GHz).

The 5850 is a good plan for the resolution you are planning to play at. Though If you stick to the games you list above you could get away with a 4890.
