To go mini, micro or standard?

Looking to buy a new pc, 3600x, 1660 super etc.
Want to tweak and overclock probably, tight memory etc but don't want anything that takes up lots of space, family home.
Any case recommendations etc, psu?

Forget that X like eXpensive in CPU unless having loose in budget.
Standard 3600 and using saved money for proper CPU cooler is better combination for keeping good boost clocks under heavier loads.

Many Micro-ATX cases aren't really that much smaller than ATX cases, while motherboard selection is actually worser than in Mini-ITX.

If small size is required/big positive, then ITX is hard to beat if you can just fit in wanted parts into case.

As for normal ATX board taking cases this is one of the more compact ones:

Similar micro-ATX design is IIRC only 4cm smaller in height.
