For some reason I cannot defrag my C: drive, it just refuses to do it on a reeboot using perfect disk. I tried O&O and it goes through it in windows but the files are only about 1% defragged.. help?

You mean the info file before you defrag?

I could but i dont think it will help you. I thought it might be because i switched my page file to another drive but thats not it. Perfect disk says it cant get access to the c: drive for some reason and says do it on a reeboot.. i do and it says there might be a driver conflict? I cant see any.

I was thinking this also.. I thank you for your help. I will free up some space and try again.

Thanks again wizardmaxx. :)

Just to say also, i am trying to shift files and folders on to my maxtor and the pc just froze. Its unfroze now but taking an age to transfer a 1.37 gig folder.

Ok thanks, I have disabled my Kaspersky and no go. I unplugged my maxtor and still theres a problem. Perfect disk says there might be a driver conflict although i can find none. Theres something not right though, it locked up transfering files for ages.

I'll do some investigating and report back soon. :)

I dunno theres some really strange stuff going on here. I ran Windows defrag and it ran fine, then when I analyze it says it dosent need defraged, but when i run perfect disk, it looks totally fragged??
