Cant Delete On My External HDD...

No option to delete on all files on my HDD cant drag and drop to recycle bin either nor can i press the delete button.

Whats going on?

It's not giving you write protect errors is it? Mine was and I had no option to delete any files. Rebooted, and it's working again.

can you go in the folder and then delete all the files inside, worst case is you have an empty folder not taking up space

how much stuff is stored on the drive, is it possible you could move everything you need onto one of your internal drives and format, then put it all back?

I had a similar problem on one of my storages, tried safe mode and everything.. the only way I managed to get rid of it was by using a Linux live CD.

After a few of reboots after day to day use i happened to check back on the drive and the option to delete re-apeared which is good so i dont know what was wrong there.
