cant double click!!!

hi,

turned on the PC this morning, cant use double click to open anything! i've gone into tools in any folder and selected double click and applied, still doing it

having to either right click/open or left click/return, very annoying.

anyone got any ideas of whats causing it?

btw, tried system restore and still doing it. running XP pro, sp2

Go into the mouse control panel applet and check the double click speed setting, then use the wee test icon to make sure everything's working OK.

tried it, not making a difference

it only gave the thumb up once, is that right? (logitech mouse, updated the mouseware software)

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

It calls a DLLInstall on Shell32.dll.
