Can't Enable Console In Crysis

I recently re-installed Crysis but didn't back up my saves before installing Vista, so I figured there must be a console command to load the level I was on (had just finished the first zero-g level).

Unfortunately the console doesn't seem to want to work for me anymore, even if I add -console to my shortcut command line, and there's no console box showing in the in-game options.

Anybody have any ideas?

You just add -devmode to your desktop shortcut

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -devmode

Edit: Nope, still no console. Alternatively, if anyone has a savegame for right at the beginning of the level "Paradise Lost" then I'd be extremely grateful.

Do you mean that when you press the tilde key the console doasn't drop down?

Get CryLaunch, you could just load the level up using the program.

Can't link as Crymod is down at the moment.

Yup, can't get ¬ or ~ to give me a console.

Check that your keyboard hasn't gone USA instead of UK as the keyboard layout will change

No, it's where the ¬ is on a UK keyboard.

(I have a US keyboard and my other PC has a UK keyboard)
