So i have decided to split one of my rigs to have an extra single GPU rig for gaming. Rig has a fresh windows 8.1 install on it and a 290x.

I bought a LG 29um67-p for it. For some reason the option to enable freesync isn't in properties under my digital flat panels.

Have reinstalled drivers half a dozen times both the latest full drivers and the beta drivers. I have installed it with all the extra bits and bobs too (CCC, GE, audio drivers etc).

Panel is connected via display port.

Am i missing something obvious?

The display definitely is free sync compatible as its written all over the box and on LG site

Have not got the monitor but a quick look at the manual (page 26) led me to believe that freesync is turned on and off within the monitors osd .

Apologies if I have misunderstood matters :)

Thanks for that but i forgot to add that i have switched it on through the osd. Though there are a million options here, i may have switched it on in a custom display setting but have a pre-set enabled.

Love this monitor so far, great value for money!

Will play around with the osd and get back to you

Got it working, not sure why it worked but what i did was switch to dvi then back to displayport after disabling it on monitor and enabling it. What is funny is that my refresh rate went from 60hz to 75hz in CCC too.

Thanks mate, was about to give up till you posted.
