Hi all,

Having a bit of a problem with my motherboard, it's a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 (revision 1.0) but when I enable the USB 3 controller in the BIOS on boot it posts and the Windows 8 logo appears but then just sits there.

I have the latest F8 BIOS, have tried updating and uninstalling the drivers in Windows but no luck there, as soon as the option is enabled in the BIOS the machine won't successfully boot. If I disable it the machine is perfect again.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks.

Well this is a strange one, I found a couple of places mentioning hyper-v visualisation causing problems with USB3, disabled this and I managed to get USB3 to boot and recognise in the device manager.

Unfortunately the card reader I bought FCR-HS3 lights up but still won't read the memory card, I get a driver error and a ! in the device manager.

On the official site there is a firmware update but I have the latest version, tried flashing anyway but still no joy with getting it working, is perfect when in a USB2 port but not on a USB3.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dean
