Just bought a TP-Link TD-W8970 from OcUK, set up quickly and all seemed fine. Went to watch Netflix this evening on my PS3 and it won't connect. Tried iPlayer on my PS3 which works and on my Humax PVR which doesn't. Both devices are wired via a homeplug>switch, and both are connected to the internet. I also have an old MBP connected on the homeplug>switch which I can watch iPlayer and Netflix on without any issues...

Wirelessly my phone can run iplayer and netflix, and my laptop which I've got hard wired into the router at the moment can play both too.

I ran a diagnostic native to the router which passes every test except "Test DNS Root" to which it just says "Fail". I've googled the problem and can't find anything suitable to solve it.

Can't work out why the PVR and PS3 are the only things on my network having a problem. I tried my PS3 wirelessly and it still gave the same error...

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

No sooner do I post than Netflix miraculously works again on the PS3.

Turned off the Humax at the back, on again, iplayer & itv player working too.

FML.

Still I smell something dodgy going on...

If you replaced the router then you've probably also replaced your DHCP server.

Any devices that hadn't picked up new IPs from the new DHCP server could have problems.
