cant find via usb drivers for XP

i have a newlink 5 port usb 2.0 card installed (via chipset) and im having problems with it, it is installed ok and drivers are installed ok but they are the microsoft drivers from 2001, i cant seem to find via usb drivers for xp.

the usb card does have the via chipset but im unsure of the model

is there any via usb drivers as i have downloaded them from the via website but they dont include the xp drivers and i read they are only available through cd due to licsencing.

i could just buy another cheap card with a different chipset but i would prefer to try the via driver first if they can be found

anyone has them can you email them to me please

USB2 drivers are included in XP, so it should just find the card and work straight away There is no need to update them.

yes the card is installed fine with no conflicts but my usb 2 card is not working correctly.

my mouse and keyboard and usb wireless adapter work fine

however when i plug in an usb memory card adapter with sd memory, i can copy files onto the card no problem but if i try to move or copy them back onto the hard drive, it works for a minute then an error comes up, the device still shows up on my computer but there is nothing inside when i open it.

the error says 'the parameters are incorrect' whatever that means

also my new lacie 500gb ext hdd is the same, i copied many videos to the hard drive and it does the same after a while of playing a movie.

so if i cant get via driver sto see if that improves things i will just buy another usb card with a different chipset.
