** POSSIBLE SPOILERS **

Hi guys,

I'm 33 hours in, and ready to end my first play through... but I can't!!! I have managed to calm myself enough now to post this thread, but I was so angry the other day - am going round in circles!

The main mission that has me stumped is WILD CARD - A CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT. I have obtained the Lucky 38 keycard, returned to Yes Man, Recovered the Platinum Chip from Benny, AND killed Mr House. All of these are now ticked, yet there is no further dialogue from Yes Man - he's done!

The only other mission that appeared since was DON'T TREAD ON THE BEAR. Basically, it says the NCR have an eye on you and you should no longer work with Yes Man. So, this mission is open and it wants me to do something - what!?!

Googled this all the other day, and someone else had something similar and had back-tracked via saves by about 10hours. No. Thank. You.

I also have a couple of minor optional side missions incomplete, but am assuming these are irrelevent.

Any tips guys, or shall I try and forget about it!

I got stuck in exactly the same way when I was playing. I'm not 100% sure how I got around it but think I ended up going and doing everything I could for the NCR. Go to their HQ on The Strip and talk to matey, once you get through a few missions you'll fail whatever the last thing Yes Man set you was, then you go on to complete the game quickly from there.

That mission just means that if u do anymore for yes man u won't be able to do anything more for the ncr it's basicly telling u it's ur last chance to finish anything u got going on

I got that mission way before killing house thou

Yeah, that's my worry - I've somehow done it all in the wrong order!

I don't wanna spend another 2-3 hours to find that STILL nothing happens!

SUCH a good game don't get me wrong, but am frustrated more than anything.

The thing is though you can't do anything else for Yes Man because he doesn't ask you to :D

It was one of those weird points in the game when you wonder how the hell you're gonna continue... like when I accidentally blew up the robot army and realized I hadn't made a save in 20 hours and had to continue down the route I didn't really want to take. I ended up kill Caesar's Legion anyway, but never got the chance to save Benny.

Yeah, I ended up killing Ceasar and his clan about 4hrs of gameplay ago... and not sure if I should have done!

So - the general concensus is, I CAN still continue if I plug away at some more of the side missions?

Yeah definitely. Like I said my game got stuck in exactly the same way. I ended up going and killing the Brotherhood and doing loads of NCR missions which led me to the final mission. If you've destroyed CL though I'm not sure how that's gonna pan out...

I tried doing that when I played and no matter what answers you give in your conversation with him, the outcome's the same and you have to kill him, in this situation at least.

There was a bunker in the legion encampment that you go into to get access to the securitron army. From the sound of it you've closed the Mr.House and CL options off so you've got NCR or independant vegas left as endings. Yes Man should've uploaded to the main screen and then you get another option. The NCR ending will probably be easiest to get to but more time consuming.

FO:NV has a horrendous amount of continuity bugs in my experience, I got stuck at the Dam because (without spoiling too much) I'd done a mission involving the Ranger captain before speaking to the lady NCR commander, which made it impossible to continue with the main part of the quest. Had to use the console to change the quest state in the end (thankfully others had hit the same problem so there was a solution on the wikia thingy).

Wasn't the only place, had similar issues with side quests like when you have to recruit a smoothtalker, I recruited two before going back to the venue so the mission ended up in a stuck state because it wouldn't only one of them 'check in' so to speak.
