Can't forward ports on superhub 3...should i get a proper router?

Hi all, I'm trying to forward the ports on my superhub 3 for plex. This worked fine in my old house with the older superhub. However, apparently I have the 3 with the broken firmware and i've no idea when they're planning to upgrade it so now I'm considering buying a proper router.

Am i right in thinking that purchasing a proper router and putting the hub 3 into modem mode will sort me out?

Is there a go to router option that i should be looking at? I don't want/need to spend a fortune but i'd really like to be able to forward my ports! Thanks

hmmn, i may actually have solved this. I simply disconnected from the plex server and reconnnected. Strange..plex now working on my phone (on 4g) so presumably it's fine.

Modem mode and a separate router should sort your problems.

How much are you willing to spend and what features do you need/want? e.g. Gigabit LAN ports, Wireless AC, etc.
