My Samsung Bordeaux 32" LCD is hooked up as a secondary screen purely for gaming.... it's res is 1366 x 768.... both DOOM3 and Far Cry have resolution options of 1360 x 768 yet they will only work at lower resolutions on the Samsung.....

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it. I would have thought that as long as I'm using a lower resolution than that of the LCD it would work

have you tried 1024x768? using my ibm t60, my samsung le40r6 (i think? the 40" sammy lcd..) will only display 1024x768 (fuzzy) and 1366x768 (crisp) even though the manual says its 1360x768 which is what my old ibm t42 used to be able to use.

i needed to use powerstrip to get that 1366x768 custom res.

1024 x 768 works fine

1360 x 768 doesn't..... "Mode not Compatible" or something like that gets displayed on the screen........

Weird.. 1360*768 works perfectly on my LE32R1BD

lets start at the top: forget about the game for now, can you display the windows desktop at 1360x768? if not thats a good place to start.

like i said in my first post, i have 2 ibm laptops (t42 needs 1360, t60 uses 1366) which for some reason need different windows desktop resoultions to display the desktop on my tv whilst using the same cable etc.
