Hey guys

Per my previous thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18495890

I bought a Mini DP - HDMI adapter and plugged it into my Twin Frozr 7850..

So now my gfx card has the following sticking out the back:
HDMI -> 37" Samsung telly
DVI -> 23" Samsung Monitor
DP -> HDMI -> 24" Samsung Monitor

Plug everything in, Windows recognises all three.. CCC recognises all three.. But neither program allows me to make more than 2 work at the same time.

I want to be able to use my dual monitors as normal on my desk and have the desktop extended to the telly which is on a table by my bed, so I can move movies / windowed games to it as and when.

What do I do?

Cheers

Unfortunately the monitor is this one with only HDMI and VGA.

Its odd because once I disconnect the TV (HDMI -> HDMI) both monitors work.. So clearly the non-active DP - HDMI adapter is working... Why can't all three work together?

I think it's something to do with the signal being re-routed. Whereas the active ones don't do this.

Without using native displayport monitors or active adapters I think the best you can do from recent ATI cards is 2x Digital sources + 1 Analog. The only cards without this limitation as far as I know are the Sapphire Flexx cards (I have a 6850 Flex at work that runs 4x DVI's -2x DVI + 1x HDMI->DVI and 1xDP->DVI)

I would suggest:

DVI->VGA Adapter for the monitor that has analogue
Mini-DP to DVI Adapter for second monitor
TV connected via HDMI

Ordered an active adapter yesterday, bit of luck one's turned up today so will see how it goes when I get back from work.

No, I'm not running crossfire, its just a single MSI Twin Frozr (II?) 7850 2gb.
