If I don't install thw 1.4 patch for the 32bit version I get this annoying heavy fog effect which make the game unplayble but with the patch the games fine.

After I installed AMDs 64 bit patch for the game the 64bit mode has that annoying fog and I can't find any patches to fix the 64bit version. Anyone had this problem and sorted it?

what fog? my copy of Far Cry with the 1.32 x64 patch doesn't have any unusual fog. could you post a screenshot maybe?

Just found this thread so may as well post my problem in here.

I have just installed FarCry onto Vista Business 64 bit, patched it to 1.4 then applied the 64bit patch to it (v1.35 i think).

The game loads fine, however once i am in game i get a horrible 'blurriness' when walking, running or turning round. It also feels very laggy with the mouse. I have a 3870x2 gfx card which is clocked to 851/925 running 8x AA and 8x AF which are similar settings as when i ran it in XP (however without the 64 bit patch) and there were no problems.

Any ideas on a solution to this at all, or is it just a case of get rid of the 64bit extension and make do with 32bit?

Cheers very much.

do you know if it did it before the 64-bit patch?

regardless, i'm fairly sure that Crytek/Ubisoft say that the 64-bit patch should be applied to a fresh install of the game.
Also, did you install the "64-bit extra-content patch"?

it seemed fine before the patch iirc, and the patch name was 'farcry_amd64upgrade_us_uk' and was about 480MB.

If it needs to be on a fresh install then looks like i will have to do it again, as like i said above i had already patched it to 1.4 :(
