And that's the thing I don't get, They are having a storming time in the sales, they don't need to do this idiotic sort of thing...

Hmmm, good idea but poorly executed imo. It would have worked better if it was more tongue in cheek, as its written now it comes across as a little desperate (which MS shouldn't be).

A few years back there was a youtube vid that showed an american family as they were unwrapping presents. The kid unwrapped his and saw that it was a 360 from the outer packaging and was really happy. Upon opening the box he found it was stuffed with clothes instead of the console. He then proceeded to cry as the rest of the family laughed at him.

What the video didn't show but the comments did was that the family did later on give him the 360. Bit of a nasty memory for the kid but at least he got the 360 in the end

I thought he had one donated by some people who felt sorry for the poor little guy. Absolutely horrible ting to do to a kid.

I still remember the devastated look on his face.... *sniggers*
