Cant Get Bf2 To Run In 1680x1050

Hi guys, looked on the net and theres a simple way make the game run in 1680x1050 .

You change the target file, Okay ive changed that and all i get is a black screen then straight back to the desktop.

Any one else had these problems? I cant fix it ..

Vista Ultimate 64Bit

BF2142 wont run for me in widescreen either. I start the game then 5 seconds later it goes back to desktop.

Have u tried deleting the config file in my documents?

Chances are you've mistyped the command line, maybe missed a space somewhere, it should be:

"D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Found the solution, Delete the 2142 and bf2 folders in documents.. Fixes the problem

And for vista its "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

BF2 wont kick you for this will it ?

Edit :Also is there any point to this if it only -Vert rather than +Hor (acording to http://www.widescreengamingforum.com)
