What exactly happens?
USB you would need drivers for, network should work OK (unless Windows doesn't include a driver for the network card).

excuse my ignorance regarding this :o When installing XP,i just usually plug my modem back into my network card & bingo,i'm back on line.

But tried installing Windows 64 & thought it would be a case of doing what i do after an XP install, plugged into card & nothing.Like i said,i tried using a usb lead from the modem, but get nothing.

back on XP for the moment, but would like to give 64 a try. how would i use my ethernet connection

Thanks for the help folks
