Cant get Crysis 2 working from EA Store....

I caved and got Shift 2 and Crysis 2 on offer from the EA Store for £24 but while Shift 2 works finr, Crysis 2 wont boot up!
It shows in the EA Downloader but when I click to boot up I get the small window saying its booting and then.....nothing!?!?! :confused:

I've had a look in the install folder and while Shift 2 (which works fine btw) has all the folders etc there, all there is for Crysis 2 is a RAR file (or ZIP file)

Do I need to do anything to it first to make it work or should it load just like Shift 2??

The EA downloader downloads a standard installer, go to that directory and then drag the installation folder onto your desktop, close down EADM and install the game through that to a different directory.

not with the newer ones it doesn't. It installs in a similar way to steam but not as good I've not manged to find a verify game files option in EADM.

I'm sure i've seen an option somewhere to change how it does it though? Last thing I used it for was my free ME2 copy and that installed in the old manner.

My BFBC2 stream installed at least there was no installer after it had finished and was imediately ready to play.

It automatically runs the installer in the background, but there is still one there if you go looking for it, I know for BFBC2 because I too have it through EADM, it downloads the installer then install it for you.

Well it doesnt seem to have installed Crysis 2 although Shift 2 has worked with no problems whatsoever!?!? :confused:

All I get by default is a RAR/ZIP file called "crysis2_dd_v2_dip" in the Progam Files/Electronic Arts folder!

*update*

I unzipped the RAR file and ran the activation exe, then the crysislauncher, which downloaded the latest patch and installed it and I can now run the game by double clicking the crysis exe - but it doesnt seem to have "installed" the game - I'm just running it from the folder!?!? - Is this right??

I did but I couldnt see an installer in the directory (I assume I'm looking for "setup"???) - just what I've described above to get it working!

Surely I should be able to start the game from the EA downloader much the same as its worked for Shift 2??

Go to EADM settings, it'll show you where it downloads the installers to, go there, open the crysis 2 folder and run the installer.

I've gone to the folder where it says the installers are (which was part of a hidden folder called "ProgramData") and there is nothing!?!?

The only folder is one with my e-mail address in it with these brackets either side: { } and in that folder is a "LOCK" file and a file called "OfflineCache"!?!?!

To be fair, the box that says "Keep game installers after games have been installed" is NOT ticked so I'm assuming that it has installed the game but gone a bit wrong somewhere and its deleted the installer anyway?? (the Shift 2 one is not there either!)

Is it worth deleting and re-installing? After all, I CAN get it working by clicking the .exe after unzipping the RAR file! :confused:
