Ok, so the missis bought me a G27 for my Birthday from OcUK. NFS The Run works fine, Most wanted works fine, Shift 2 works fine.

The problem lies in when I try and load Dirt 3, or Grid. The games just don't detect it's there. Keyboard is an option, As is gamepad if you fire it up, but there is no option for the G27.

Pressing the G27's start button when Dirt says 'press start' doesn't work. Deleting the config file doesn't work. It's set up in Windows fine, and Codies customer support are absolutely useless. 'Have you made sure it is switched on and the drivers are installed'?

Any ideas lads?

Thanks.

I assume you've already tried going in game, on the track, pressing escape and then going to the controls to see if it shows up?

Are there any related updates available in Windows Update?

My G27 works fine in Dirt3.

If you open the G27 config file, where it names the G27, it the top few line, it is the exact same name as it is the windows game controllers panel thing.

Should be deviceName="Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB" in the lg_g27.xml file in the Dirt3\actionamaps folder, so in control panel your device should be called that verbatim.

i've looked.

In the actionmaps folder, it states "devicename=Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB"

In Control Panel, it is called "G27 Racing Wheel"

IF you can wait until I get home later I'll double check my settings and post here. My G27 is not plugged in and got the aforementioned settings via teamviewer.

One thing I have just noticed, is the keyboard action map priority is 0, and the G27 action map priority is 3. I wonder if I set the G27's priority to 0, it would be the default device?

something screwy going on there since in my game controllers it is named "Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB" also.

Edit the devicename in your lg_g27.xml to match what yours is called in game controllers and try again.

My priority is 3 and works fine.

Oh, I am on Win 8.1 64bit.
