Corsair H2100 wireless headset - great headset, but I can't get the mic working.

Headset Mic is set as Default Communications Device in Windows Sound (Recording Tab) and is not muted. When I speak into it the green bars on the right appear so I know it is working but when I Configure it, Windows says the computer did not hear anything (nothing shows up on the yellow-green-red testing bar).

There is a Second Microphone on Recording tab for my soundcard (Asus Xonar) which is also Default Device but even when I disable it, the headset Mic is not picked up by windows. How do I fix this? Thanks.

You say Xonar microphone is also the default device? Only one can be default.

If you disable the Xonar microphone, it could be that the Corsair microphone is not automatically made the default device.

Have you tried just setting the Corsair microphone as default?

They are both ticked green as default recording devices. But even when I disable the soundcard Mic, the headset mic doesn't come through on the pc

Default means all programs (games) will use it

Default communications device means that it will be used for telephone or video call communications.

So you want to make sure that the headset is set to Default Device and not Default Communications Device
