Alright lads, my 144 opty is being stubborn and wont go over 2700 stable.

Ive searched google and can only find peeps results not how they did it, my specs that might tell you where im going wrong:
Mobo - Abit AN8-32X, ht 3x, mem speed set to ddr333 as apposed to ddr400 only way i can throttle mem mhz?
Mem - 2x OcUK value 256mb pc 3200, timings 3.0.3.3.6 1T (temporary measure)
Cooling - STOCK lol :p

Athough coolings stock, case runs fairly cool, settings as they are cpu at idle is 38c then under load upto 59c am right in thinking alarm bells should ring if it hits 70c +??

Cheers guys

Maybe 2700 is the limit, it is on mine :( . Not all chips are the same, what stepping is it? What is the current voltage? 59 is pretty high, invest in a new cooler

Ill prob try another cooler, tbh im only playing with it coz as we all are, waiting for conroe or 65nm am2 chips. So if dies im not fussed.

Agreed ok it wants to be cooler, cant beleive thats stopping me though , i hve had it unstable at 2880mhz, so reckon with a play it can be stable im all out of ideas though.

Stepping i assume is E4 as it was bought from OcUK and thats what they list n the specs :)

ive tried setting the mem back to ddr266 thinking lesser mhz on the mem would help but it actually gets worse becomes more unstable lol

coolings not an issue, till i see it go over 60c i aint gonna worry.

Too many people expect them to get to 3GHZ  I can only get mine to 2.6GHZ with 1.65V. Thats still a 900mhz overclock you have :p

your running it way over stock so its already gonna be running quite close to the bleeding edge of stability, with your temps close to hitting 60c id say your not going to be able to get any further nevermind what you try without lowering your temps
