Can't get my graphics card to detect my TFT

It was working all fine before, I had a dual monitor set-up, an old 17" CRT and a Viewsonic VX2025WM. I used the CRT for things like displaying mIRC and the odd PDF document and used the TFT as my main monitor.

I got infected with a bunch of spyware but I got it all removed and everything was working fine for about 2 weeks. I very rarely turn my computer off, it's usually left on and the monitors switched off or dropped into standby occasionally.

I turned it off for the first time a few days ago to reconnect an old IDE hard disk, and it still worked fine. Turned it off again that night and the next morning the TFT monitor kept saying "no signal" and Windows could not detect the monitor.

My graphics card is an ASUS nVidia 7900 GT. I've tried updating the GFX card drivers, a system restore, countless restarts, uninstalled the GFX card and let Windows reinstall the old drivers, swapped the CRT and TFT ports on the card, disconnected the CRT, etc and I still can't get my TFT to work.

I really am out of ideas on what to try. Can anyone please tell me how to get my TFT back up and running?

hmm, nevermind. Seem to have sorted the problem. I plugged the analogue cable from my CRT into the TFT and windows recognised it. Odd thing was no drivers were installed even once it was recognised. I shut it down, replaced all the cables, and everything is working again. Weird.

If its the same as my vx922 then it could have been to do with being set between analogue and digital. There is a setting in the OSD.

I don't really know what happened, I've never used analogue on the vx2025 before today. Annoyingly though, I've lost all sound now. Reinstalling the drivers now, hope that works.
