Hi - this has been doing my onions in for the last two days - maybe someone else has had this issue and resolved it.
Hardware as my signature spec, I was using a DVI to HDMI cable and native resolution of 1920x1200 was working fine. I decided to use the HDMI input on my monitor for my Sky box, so I swapped it out and it ran fine. I then plugged in a DVI-VGA converter and VGA cable to my monitors VGA input. I then turned the monitor from HDMI input over to VGA and my PC picked up the VGA out, and displayed 1680x1050. I tried to change the resolution up but it doesn't appear for me to select. I know this has been fine in the past, but this is a recent OS install, and was performed using the HDMI input.
I've tried in Catalyst to change the res and failed. I unticked the 'Hide' button to display all resolutions, but still no change. I've used driver sweeper to remove my ATI drivers, and reinstalled them to no avail. I've tried powerstrip to no avail. I've even downloaded the drivers for my monitor (it shows non-plug&play monitor) to no avail.
Is there a way to rip out the default windows drivers and my ATI drivers and reinstall them? I can't see a way round this without a clean install of my OS.
Please help!
