Can't get printer to work? Spooler service problem

Every time I boot up windows, I get the "Spooler service" error. And now my printer won't print, and isn't listed in control panel. If I click add new printer, it says "spooler printer service not running. operation aborted".

I can start the service manually, but then I just get an "operation can't be completed"

Any ideas?

What does your system (application?) event log say the reason is that the service can't start?

Do you have it set to "Automatic"?

yes it's set to automatic. It says something about data execution prevention

Thanks, but I couldn't find anything that helped.

I'm becoming really frustrated, I need my printer to work for a funeral tomorrow.

Does anyone have anything else that might help?
