Can't get RAM to overclock

I'm running 4*4GB Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz DDR4 RAM in an Asus Prime X570 board, Ryzen 5 3600 set up. Whenever I activate the DOCP in BIOS it correctly recognises the RAM and the CAS timings as printed on the sticks but when I save and exit the BIOS nothing happens, black screen and fans ramp up. If I switch off the PC and re-start I get nothing. I then have to re-set the BIOS using the mobo jumpers.

Interestingly, I had the same problem on my previous 6700k set up (also an Asus board) with the same RAM.

Only other thing I had to comment on was in the BIOS when activating DOCP it would set the RAM voltage to 1.35v, does this sound right?

I updated the BIOS just before trying to change it again so running the latest version.

Any tips would be appreciated.

does the DOCP work if you try with 2 sticks at a time? Make sure to try with both pairs.

Couple of things to try.

Setting soc voltage between 1.1 and 1.15 and see if that helps, 1.35v is perfectly fine for the dram voltage and I would try a bit more say 1.37 just to make sure it's getting enough.

Another thing to try is to manually set the DOCP speed, timings and voltage and see if this works.

Thanks for your help I went to 2 sticks and changed to DOCP. Same issue. However, I then tried 2 sticks with soc voltage at 1.1 and it worked (CPU-Z confirmed the speed). So I put the other 2 sticks back in and my PC went back to not booting again. Not sure what that tells us, not enough DRAM voltage?
