logged on my computer tonight and microsoft anti spyware was goin mad, popups saying my name,ip and location are being sent to a remote computer, and that transponder.DLMax is trying to load up etc.

So far i've tried microsoft antispyware, Spyware Doctor, Trend Micro Housecall and CSWshredder. They've all found something and deleted it, Spyware doctor found about 200  , but it always comes back whenever i reboot. Tried them all again, except housecall, in safe mode and still doesn't seem to get rid of it.

Can anyone suggest me anything to try and stop this thing from coming back everytime i reboot? any help would be greatly appriecate it as i'm at my wits end.

I dunno if hijack this would work but i didn't try it this time, used it in the past but never fully understood it and was worried of deleting something that was needed by windows.

Cheers

Sounds as though a reinstall of XP may be your most beneficial option.

Why not post your Hijack This log here, for us to laugh....I mean look...at? ;)

c1a7988.exe looks very suspect.

yeah your right couldn't find any info on this so i just deleted it.

Finally got rid of it after spending an hour going through my hijackthis log and searching for info on every entry.

If anyones got this problem, best bet is to go through your hijackthis log in safe mode using this site to find out what it all means - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/htlogtutorial.html

Then just ran spyware doctor and MS antispyware, seems to have got rid of it....hopefully :D
