can't get signal on monitor

Arrggh please help - am completely rebuilding my system at the momemt and have put it altogether and now i can't get a signal to the monitor. I'm probabaly not doing something really simple so please help.

set up is as follows:
DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D
AMD Opteron 146
Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XL
GeIL 2GB PC3200 RAM

The LED's on the motherboard show that it has detected everything and i have plugged in all 24 pins on the motherboard. I have also plugged in the extra 6 pin one for the graphics card. When i switch the monitor on all it says is no signal.

never mind i was indeed being stupid

i didn't realise you neede the 4 pin connector as well as the 24 pins all plugged in. Seems to be sorted now - sorry for wasting time.
