Hey guys,

Im having right problems trying to get my sisters PC to boot Kubuntu USB or a Burned CD!

I've done plenty of these so know you have to make it bootable, and i've tested my created disks on a different system and they are indeed bootable..so i'm unsure to why this system wont boot from them!..wont even boot from an proper Windows 7 disk!

I've checked in Bios, selected both USB and CD to check for bootable media, also manually selected them to boot at startup..all that comes up is that message when you don't have no OS installed to the Drive (which is hasnt currently its a blank hard drive)

Cables are all connected snug.

Its a basic system for internet use.

Core 2 Duo E6300
2GB 1333Mhz ram
GA-G4M1-Combo Motherboard

Appreciate any help. :D

Its

f12 on boot?

Of course,Im not a complete noob i've built many pcs and can diagnose a lot of issues but this one has left me scratching my head. :p

Hmm, scratch my idea then. I meant the optical drive but if it won't boot from the USB either then that's a bit odd. Assuming the boot order is correct (as suggested above) then I'll suggest a CMOS reset

Yeah,At first it just wouldn't boot from any USB port..so i thought id try the old fashioned way and burn a Bootable ISO onto Disk.

Still the same situation.

Found the problem,The USB wireless dongle!

As i was selecting to boot from USB it must have been trying to boot from that,Still i cant understand why it didn't try to boot from the other USB i had the side of it with the bootable ISO on..

But removing the USB wireless dongle seems to have sorted the issue,It now boots from USB!...Currently got Lubuntu installing.

thanks for your help though guys greatly appreciated.
