Cant get the *Bling* on my CPU wid Lapping

Tried for ages tonight Lapping my CPU for that added bling i;ve seen around these forums

Lapped using wet 'n' dry sandpaper from 400 grit to 2500 grit and then polished but it just doesnt seem shiny ... best i can get is a minor reflection.

Someone let me in on the secrets !

Although it has knocked 4c off my load temps

Tuniq... and its partly lapped... but its flat ... so yes

i used everything between 400 to 2500

400 600 800 1000 1200 1500 2000 2500

its definatly flat

just wonder why its not even remotely shiny... sort of greyish colored now (altough still copper)

havent used any polish

soooo gonna give it another go with just dry paper

Hes not talking about ball bearing.. and infact he is correct.... the surface of the ball bearing is *smooth* ... would be a better word
