Cant get to Secure sites (any!) Windows 7

Hiya,

I've recently installed windows 7, and for some reason I can't seem to get any secure sites, the page just seems to 'time out. The same thing happens when going to FTP sites in browser.

I've tried the following:
64bit and 32bit installations
different browesers
different settings suggested MS in their 'fix'
Complete format's of the HDD (5 times over now).
Different DVD's (even installed on another computer!)
Every other computer on the network is fine.
Turned Firewalls/defener off.

I've installed it on a HP G60-1153EM (if i remember correctly).

Any help would be great.

is the time set correctly?

Might be a router issue then, try checking the settings for your router.

Hi thanks for your replies.

The time and date are set correctly (although I cannot sync to windows servers - error messages happens).
The router is perfectly fine - all other computers have no issues. Windows XP seemed to work fine.

Windows updates don't work either which does imply a date/time issue? I can't remember the error code off the time of my head.

Any ideas as to what is causing the issue? I really need to get this working.

Have you updated your router to tomato 1.26? if so there is a new firmware out (1.27) that fixes issues with HTTPS
"Fix DDNS "-1" error when service used HTTPS"

The router is fine - Dlink running standard firmware.
As mentioned only happened when upgraded to Win 7
