Can't get two monitors working at the same time

Now I have the Z77X-D3H mobo, I have a 22in monitor, and a crappy vga one as a second, my 22" is plugged into my gtx 670, and the other is plugged into the on board vga, when I start up, just the 22" comes on ,now I went into bios and changed the first to IGFX and restarted, so now just the VGA one comes on, I installed the graphics drivers from the mobo cd, rebooted and changed from IFGX back to auto, now it's still just the 22" coming on, and I'm not to sure what to do next, anyone have an idea? much appreciated!

Both monitors either need to be plugged into the GPU or the mobo. Not one in each.

Both should be running off the 670 mate you may need an adaptor.

does your gtx670 have two ports for monitors?

Yes my gpu has two ports, but I didnt have a DVI-d adapter handy and no they both don't need to plugged into the gpu ports just so you know, I just wanted it for extra space not for dual screen gaming etc, I fixed it by changing the on board graphics from auto to enabled in bios, works perfect, thanks for the replies though guys!
