Hi guys. So here is my problem...

When i select the highest resolution on my monitor (1600x1200) It says out of range and the max it will be set to is 1400 x 900. Why is this? It is a 22 inch monitor so it should work. I have tried installing drivers again and re setting the pc with no luck. Any ideas on how to crack this error?

Thank you :-)

which monitor do you have? The only monitors I have seen at 22" are widescreen (16:10) monitors with a native resolution of 1680x1050.

1600x1200 has an aspect ratio of 4:3.

Are you sure you arent mistaken?

I think there were 22" CRT monitors with a 1600x1200 resolution mind.

are you basing the max resolution from what CCC tells you? if so ignore it as it lies, it says my max res on my 19" widescreen is 1600x1200 but i know for a fact it only does 1440x900.

1600 x 1200 it is
Agreed - which monitor is it?

If it is a 22" widescreen TFT then it should have a resolution of 1680x1050.

What graphics are you using? Hopefully you can just update the drivers to access the correct resolution.

Edit: Looks like you were asking after an LG 22" monitor here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17938588

If that is the model you have then as you can see here it should be running at 1680x1050 as the other guys have said.
