Can't install 10.4 catalyst :(.

I want to go back to the 10.4 drivers (on 10.8 at the moment and they suck for bfbc2), problem is, they refuse to install .

Every time I try to install them, everything installs except for the display driver. Doesn't give a specific error message, just says install complete with errors. Trying to install manually from device manager, just results in it telling me it found drivers for hardware (5800 series), but failed to install them. It happens with all revision of 10.4 (Official 10.4, 10.4a/b preview).

I've tried just uninstalling 10.8, not rebooting and then trying 10.4. Display driver fails to install

Uninstalling 10.8, rebooting, then trying 10.4. Display driver fails to install

Uninstalling 10.8, rebooting into safe mode, cleaning them out with driver sweeper, booting back into normal and once again display driver fails to install.

10.8 installs fine, 10.7 fine, 10.6 fine, 10.4, the one I want and it just won't install it . Anyone got any idea why?

Probably not the answer you are looking for but have you tried the new 10.9 and 10.9 app profiles? The new app profiles specifically mention BFBC2 and I tired them both out last night and they seem fine for BFBC2.
