Can't install - "configuration data for this product is corrupt"

Hi, I've been trying to reinstall Studio 8 after Dreamweaver started crashing after the flash screen finished loading - only now it wont install and gives the following error -

I've downloaded and installed Windows Installer 3.1 but thats had no effect - anyone got any ideas?

You want to rip all the remnants of that program from the PC and try again,

is there an easy way of doing that...i tried just going through the registry the other day doing a search on dreamweaver to remove it but it didn't work so it'd be great if there was an app to do it for me

i've got rid of every registry entry relating to macromedia other than flash player, but i'm still getting the same error - any ideas?

also used regcleaner to get rid of macromedia :confused:
